On graduating Harrs turned his attention to printmaking, mainly woodcuts, of which some are still available.
His oill paintings and wooden sculptures have been the focl point of several solo exhibitions since 1965.
 
The collages and totems are dedicated to the Kuba tribe in the DC, a tribe well known for weaving raffia textiles and wooden objects.
