In 1993 obtained a Master of Fine arts, Rhodes University.

Lectured in Fine Art Departments at the Universities of Durban-Westville, Rhodes and Natal. Became a full time artist in 1995 after eight years of lecturing.

AWARDS:
1984 – Purvis Prize for the best all-round Fine Art student.
1984 Academic Half Colours.
1985 – Rhodes University Scholarship.

EXHIBITIONS: Participated in many exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
